CASWELL. unites the design skills and global experience of its principal and dynamic team, who have worked for the past decade on hospitality and residential projects in Sydney, New York, Washington DC, LA, San Fransisco and Denver. From its Albury, NSW base, CASWELL. offers a range of design services in hospitality and high-end residential in Australia and beyond.
The CASWELL. Approach
At CASWELL., we strive to achieve a holistic result in all design projects and devote complete attention to locale, client needs, detail, ambiance and execution. Our approach is borne of the experience that interior design itself can be amazing in isolation but often falls short when the practicalities of construction, budget and client objectives or lifestyle are applied.
We are fascinated by space and the way design can affect the way people move around, interact in, use and respond to that space.
In short, we listen, we observe, we communicate – and we apply our proficiencies, knowledge and experience to deliver inspiring, viable design with a personal ‘hands-on’ approach.
Julia Sullivan
Director, A.DIP INTDES & A.DIP GR.DES
Julia has spent her career in New York, Denver and Sydney concentrating predominantly on hospitality design, construction management and owner’s representation.
During her eight years in the US, she was in-house designer for esteemed restaurateurs, Quality Branded, liaising closely with AvroKO, a world leading hospitality design firm. Julia played a significant role in the highly successful expansion of New York based coffee / café brand, Bluestone Lane, developing its trademark design that is recognised worldwide.
Growing up between NYC, Connecticut and Sydney, with stints in London, she is well travelled – this has been an immense inspiration for Julia as she seeks out and researches the best in design solutions, vernacular styles and cultural influences around the world.
Chloe Simpson
Interior Designer / Project Coordinator
Chloe Simpson is an emerging interior designer with a multidisciplinary background spanning client communications, project management and interior design.
Chloe holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies with distinction honours and has several years’ experience working in project management roles based both locally in Sydney and Internationally in Vancouver, Canada. During this time, Chloe built a strong foundation in client-focused project delivery, honing her ability to manage complex briefs while fostering collaborative relationships.
Chloe has since gone on to complete studies at Coco Republic Design School and Sydney Design School. The combination of technical skills and people-focused experience informs her design process and ensures that each CASWELL. project is both practical and deeply considered.
As Project Coordinator, Chloe leads projects from concept to completion. Her approach blends creativity with structure, bringing a thoughtful and grounded energy to every CASWELL. project.
Well-travelled and continually inspired by nature, architecture and cultural influences, Chloe views design as something that goes beyond aesthetics. Guided by principles of simplicity, functionality and longevity, she strives to create spaces that enhance well-being and provide meaningful backdrops for lasting memories.
